Isn’t technology wonderful?

Friday, April 27th, 2007

I don’t know about you, but I think the more advanced computer technology gets, the longer it takes to do a simple task.  Take email for example.  If I receive an email address back unsent, and I don’t have that person’s phone number or business address, I’m out of luck.  I have to then take the old-fashioned route of looking in the phone book under the business name to call and confirm their correct email address.  Of course my call goes to their voice mail.  I have to wait for a returned call.  Then when I send them a new email, their old incorrect address pops up on my screen.  How do I delete the old one?  Now both show up but the old incorrect one is on top.  If I hit the “enter” button without checking the bad one is put on the email.  I’m amazed at how much time it takes to do simple administrative tasks.

Monet and Mansions

Monday, April 23rd, 2007

The perfect Friday goes something like this… blue skies, 70 sunny degrees, the sounds of spring, and not being stuck in the office (which, by the way, has no windows).  We cruised around admiring the mansions on our way to the Cleveland Museum of Art. There we experienced the life and works of Monet. Then we headed to Little Italy for a delicious lunch, and of course, dessert.
